MAKING WORSHIP CLOTHS
These can be large cloths, designed to be used by two people working together. or smaller ones for individual use.Two or three large cloths can be used together to create different effects. These are  easy to make and very effective for use in pageantry, praise and worship.

Choosing fabric - must be very lightweight and the same on both sides, the same types of fabric used for flags. Tissue/paper lame is best, but you can use crystal organza or lightweight "silky" polyester. All these fabrics are 44 inch (112cm) wide.

Large cloths (for 2 to use) -  5 yds (4.5m)
Small cloths - 2 yds (1.8m)

Sewing - the fabric selvedges are best left uncut and unstitched unless they are unsightly. The raw edges can be overlocked/serged, or have a narrow machined hem.

Poles - for some uses of worship cloths it is helpful to use light poles at each end. Plastic pipe approx 1 inch (2.5cm) in diameter works well. Sew a channel at each end so that the pole slips in and out easily.
